- Church of the Way UMC, Lawrenceville, Ga is led by Rev. Carter Mc Innis, former Two By Two. Carter was with us in the late 90′s and always knew how to have a great time! His youth leader, Patrick, had a great theme for the week “Bet it All!” They had amazing devotionals with some great games that had a “minute to win it” twist to them. They came to concerts each night and we of course got Carter to get up and sit in with us as well. Although this was the first ever trip together for most of these youth and many had just joined the youth since the first of the year Carter and I were amazed at how fast they just came together. Through Patrick’s teaching sessions they had a great week spiritually and as far as building their group. As has been the case for the past many years we are sure they will be back next summer!
- FUMC Monticello, Ark is home church to one of this years Two by Two, Cayce Guy. Matter of fact the connections to the Ark of this group go all the way back to the late 80′s and now have 3 generations involved. Lori, their leader was a youth from Jena, La and has been bringing their group from Monticello for a number of years. Of course Lori’s mom, Brenda, can’t miss a trip to the Ark to help take care of Lori’s younger children so we had 3 generations with us all week. The group worked with the Clothes for Kids drive along with the PC Rescue Mission. Of course the the water was beautiful this week and they all took advantage of it. Their youth praise band shared in our concerts and we are sure Cayce won’t be the last youth from this church to spend a summer working with Two By Two.
